Welcome to our 2nd edition of Dispatch.
Much has happened in the country since our inaugural edition. The UK has found itself embroiled in headline-grabbing riotous outbreaks in numerous cities north and south. Through erroneous claims that the knife attacker in Merseyside was a migrant, public response emerged from a deep current of tolerance fatigue and cultural prejudices. We witnessed outbursts of violent reactions thats were symptomatic of wider issues. This social dissatisfaction and unease appears to emanate partly from the broken Asylum and Refugee situation, which is overburdened and underperforming.

We can gratefully acknowledge the incredible work being performed throughout the UK by Charitable and Non-Government Organisations to support and improve the wellbeing and process quality of the immigrant population. Nonetheless, there are thousands of immigrants left flailing in immigrant processing for longer than is bearable, many emerging like a ships without rudders. dHomes’ holistic vision of supporting these journeys through the sensitive path of Recovery, then Integration, and finally toward Flourishing, is critical to creating positive societal growth.
It cannot be emphasised enough, that investment in Care is consequently an investment in the larger economy. It would be an oversight to think that savings and shortcuts in this humanitarian endeavor leads to anything but amplified discontent, and damaged new members of our society. Financial shortsightedness when dealing with human lives is not an option. Neither is it good for our long term economic and societal prospects. As we’ve proclaimed in these posts before: caring is good business.
Village Life: Secure and Tasty
We are immensely grateful and proud to announce that we have engaged two new members to our advisory board this month. Security is an essential spoke in the wheel. dHome village residents need to feel safe and secure in their dwellings, from prejudicial abuse or even violence. Local communities need to feel secure in their neighbourhoods from truancy and cultural oriented abuse. dHome is privileged to have signed up the Nationwide Security detail Stonehouse31 who shall be responsible for monitored security cameras, perimeter management and peace-keeping on site. Details are soon to be added to our Advisory board page.
Furthermore, we’ve been super-fortunate to have engaged the support of Billy Grinstead guiding and directing our Food and Beverage efforts on-site. Billy has extensive acclaimed experience in the design and implementation of large scale culinary activities, including the provisioning of 1000’s of daily meals for the Refugee and Asylum communities. Through designing and building out our Community Kitchen Domes, to reviewing healthy and nutritious food ingredients and sources, we greatly value the deployment of healthy sustenance as core to overall wellbeing.
Finally, we are very excited and grateful to be engaging an exemplary legal council to advise on the aspects of our development and operations. Details to follow soon.
We thank you for your continued interest and support in dHome as we develop the mission, and hope you enjoy our periodic short articles.
